Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions are straightforward and reasonable

 

1.We want to make sure your installation goes as smoothly as possible, and to facilitate this, please ensure that

· all rooms are cleared of furniture and old floor coverings,

· the sub floor has been fully prepared,

· the removal of any wires and cables etc.

(unless we have agreed to do any of the above)

2.We cannot always see the quality of subfloors when we survey due to existing floor coverings. If we do not deem the subfloor good enough to be laid on then we can offer 2 options;

A) Prepare the subfloor as required (chargeable)

B) Lay the new floor as best as the subfloor allows.  We will not be held responsible for any issues that arise due to faulty subfloors after this point.

3.If the installation cannot proceed on the day scheduled through no fault of our own, then you may be responsible for any losses incurred by Timber Floor Studio

4.Every reasonable precaution will be taken to protect property in which we will be working.  Whilst we are very careful when removing skirting boards, old or loose plaster may fall off. We will not be held responsible for decorating and/or replacement.

5.Due to the nature of our services exact arrival and completion times cannot be guaranteed. If we do not complete the job in the allotted time due to excessive furniture, bad weather or any other unforeseen circumstance; we cannot guarantee returning the next day but will endeavor to get back ASAP.

6.Our fitters sometimes carry more flooring on their Van than required, to cover for any mis-measures or damages; but this does not mean it belongs to you or that invoices will be reduced, on the other hand we will not charge for ordering any more due to shortages.

7.We work to tight schedules and are usually booked 6-8 weeks in front. If you do need to delay installation, please let us know as soon as possible.

8.Deposits are non-refundable

9.Payment is due immediately after completion of the installation without exception. You can pay the fitter Cash or you can pay by card over the phone, we also accept bank transfers using the details on the bottom of your invoice.

10.Delivery guide times are given in good faith. We cannot guarantee dates where we are dependent on suppliers.

11.Movement in any wood floor occurs in the first 3 months from being fitted. After this period if movement occurs it is either due to excessive moisture or water damage to which Timber Floor Studio will not be held responsible.

12.We cannot be held responsible for scratches and damage that occur after completion.

WORDS on WOOD

Wood floors are sensitive to their surrounding climate. Creaking and seasonal cracking is a common occurrence. They expand in humid conditions and contract in dry conditions, usually due to temperature change in central heating. A constant temperature is recommended to minimise this.

Real wood floors are a natural product and colour variation is a normal characteristic.
